Specification

Purpose

The specification is intended to facilitate inter-operation between third-party implementations of Base16b.

It aims to adhere to published standards; including Unicode and those of the IETF and IANA.

Authority

At this time, there is no authority behind this specification. Eventually, the specification may submitted to become a IETF / IANA standard.

Versions

The current version of the specification is implemented by the current version of the reference implementation.

Historical versions of the specification and reference implementation are available.

Priority

The reference implementation version is supposed to agree with the version of specification that it implements.

If this is not the case, an error must be in either one or the other. If you observe such an error we would like to hear from you so that we may  correct it.

For the avoidance of doubt, until such a problem has been resolved it is the specification that should be considered the master.
